Description
This project consists of removing the existing dam at/on the Iowa River at Steamboat Rock and replacing it with a series of stone structures. Also included is riverbank shaping, riverbank stabilization, the construction of a granular boat carry-down ramp, tributary step-down structures, a granular foot path, and site restoration. The dam removal shall be staged to allow for a controlled release of sediment. Bid alternate #1 replaces the granular carry-down ramp with a concrete carry-down ramp.
