Overview
Summary

The City of Bradenton is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering and technical oversite services for multiple contractors performing sanitary lining work.

The City of Bradenton has received funding through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in the form of a State Revolving Fund loan to line sanitary sewer gravity pipe and manholes throughout the City. The work requires project coordination and supervision to ensure the project is carried out in accordance with appliable laws, rules, regulations, and City standards.

Background

In 2020, the City completed an Inflow and Infiltration (I&I) analysis to identify critical areas within the sanitary system for lining pipes and manholes. Many of the systems showing excess I&I are made from VCP installed during the 1950's and are found in rear yard easements. A prioritization of the systems is developed and mapped accordingly.

The City intends on hiring multiple contractors to perform the lining concurrently and the role of Technical Services program manager is critical to the program's success. The program will line approximately 50 miles of varying size gravity sewer pipe. The contractor's work must be completed by December 1, 2027; the Technical Services project manager is required to wrap up the project by December 31, 2027.
