Description
This project includes the works required to complete the surface rehabilitation of various rear lanes and roadways within the City of Leduc . The work consists of the supply of all labour, supervision, equipment, and materials for the construction of works outlined in the tender documents.
Generally, the work includes, but is not limited to the following:
Site preparation and management, including pedestrian and vehicular traffic control measures and delineation of work zones.
Saw cutting and removal of existing hard surfacing materials to be disposed of offsite.
Removal and disposal of existing soft surfacing materials.
Grading and construction of a grass swale.
Fine grading and preparation of subgrade within the project limits.
Placement of concrete works, including curb and gutter, swales, monolithic walk, curb ramps, lane crossings, and residential crossings (driveways).
Placement of road structure, that could include stabilization, geo-grid, geo-fabric, gravel base course, and asphalt pavement.
Mill and overlay of existing roadways.
Minor underground utility work and adjustment of manholes, catch basins, and valves to match surface elevations.
Construction of traffic calming measures in the form of pin-on concrete curb extensions.
Relocation and supply/installation of solar pedestrian flashers.
Inlaid thermoplastic lane markings.
Placement of topsoil and seed over disturbed areas.
Coordination of work with shallow utility companies and others (GFL, residents, City, etc.).
The City of Leduc is expecting the successful Tenderer to commence Work on the project as soon as possible after the execution of the construction contract. The Tenderer shall coordinate their efforts to ensure that the substantial completion for all project works is completed on or before October 15, 2025.
