Addendum #1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 25-11-TS is issued in accordance with the IFB Terms

& Conditions and is intended to provide additional information and clarification to Respondents.

Addendum #1 consists of two (2) items which are listed below, attached hereto and made a part

hereof to IFB No. 25-11-TS.

ITEM 1 – CHANGES TO IFB

1. Site Visit Motts Run – 24 April 2025 @ 10:00 A.M.

ATTENTION: Anyone attending this site visit will need to be wearing safety boots,

hard hat, and vest. It is an active construction zone. We will not allow anyone on site

who does not have these items.

2. Site Visit Ni River – 25 April 2025 @ 10:00 A.M.

ITEM 2 – Q&A

1. Are contractors allowed to submit a bid for certain line items or are you looking to award

all line items to one contractor?

ANSWER: Please see Attachment B, IFB Special Terms and Conditions, Letter A.

2. Can you provide current pricing for the 50% Caustic?

ANSWER: The current pricing is $2.96 Gallon.

3. With regards to Anhydrous Ammonia, would you entertain a far less hazardous and

virtually maintenance free solution like Liquid Ammonium Sulfate, with total turnkey

provisions supplied for a conversion?

ANSWER: Liquid Ammonium Sulfate is a listed Bid Item. The County has already

started a project to transition to use of this chemical in the near future.

4. Item #23 & Item #24 Sulfur Dioxide-How many per delivery?

ANSWER: Motts receives 5 cylinders and Ni receives 4 cylinders with each delivery.

5. Item #23 & Item #24 Sulfur Dioxide-Will tractor/trailer with lift gate be ok for delivery

or is box truck required?

ANSWER: A truck with a lift gate is preferred at both Motts and Ni WTP.

6. Item #23 & Item #24 Sulfur Dioxide-I have the last bid tab results showing supplier and

price ($157.50/each), but since that was many years ago can you please advise what the

current price paid is for sulfur dioxide or if price is still the same?

ANSWER: The current price is $ 202.50.

7. Item #23 & Item #24 Sulfur Dioxide-The bid shows estimated annual amounts of 72 at

Motts & 20 at Ni River. Can you check to see what the actual usage was total for each

plant for a one-year period?

ANSWER: Currently the Motts uses 120 cylinders and Ni 20 cylinders per year.

8. Spotsylvania County Vender Authorization and Substitute W-9 – do you want this with

the bid or if awarded?

ANSWER: Please submit with the Bid.

9. Could I please have the current supplier and price for Liquid Ammonium Sulfate and

Ferric Sulfate?

ANSWER: We do not currently have a Vendor for Liquid Ammonium Sulfate. Liquid

Ferric Sulfate is currently supplied by Kemira and pricing is $1.25.

10. What is the quantity of bags per delivery for the dry ortho-polyphosphate?

ANSWER: 80 bags per delivery (2 pallets).
