Description


Sealed Bids for the construction of the FY 2025 Resurfacing & Patching Project will be received, by Grady County Board of Commissioners, at 33 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39827, until 11:00 AM, Tuesday, September 23, 2025, local time, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. No bid may be withdrawn after the closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Spring Hill Roadway Improvements, Union Springs Roadway Improvements and Spot Patching on multiple Locations as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction consists of resurfacing Spring Hill Rd. for 1.40 miles and resurfacing Union Springs Rd. for 0.80 miles. Also, there will be multiple locations of spot patching of roadway and all associated measures for the complete project. Time allotted for completion of work is 180 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion. Work shall be complete and ready for contract close-out with 194 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one (1) Contract. Copies of Bidding Documents for bidding purposes can be obtained from Watkins & Associates, L.L.C., 1606 Whiddon Mill Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793, Phone: (229) 388-8823, (Office of the Engineer) upon payment of $300.00 for each set (non-refundable). Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Grady County Board of Commissioners, located at 33 17th Ave NW, Cairo, GA 39827 or at Watkins & Associates, LLC on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 A.M. and 5 P.M. Upon request and receipt of the document payment indicated above, Watkins & Associates, LLC will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service.
