Project Description: Sealed proposals will be received by Maxatawny Township, online via the PennBid™ Program, until 11:00 am, Monday June 8th, 2026 for the Deer Run Road Improvements Project.
The proposed work will include the demolition of the existing three-way intersection with Deer Run Road and Long Lane (SR 1024). Approximately 90 LF of the existing Deer Run roadway will be milled and overlayed. Full depth pavement will be installed from this station (on Deer Run Road) to its intersection with Long Lane. The appropriate and necessary traffic control measures will also be part of the scope of work.
Bidders must conform to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as well as the General Conditions and detailed Specifications in the bid package. All documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at PennBid™ - www.PennBid.net.
Only questions submitted online via PennBid™ shall be considered. Responses will be provided on the website and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders through the website via email. No responses will be provided for requests received after 2:00 pm on June 1, 2026.
Bids may be held by Maxatawny Township for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of Bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the Bids, receipt of government approvals, receipt of grant(s) and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding the Contract. Bids may be publicly awarded on June 8th , 2026 at 6:30pm (local time) at the Maxatawny Township Building, 127 Quarry Road, Suite 1 Kutztown, PA 19530.
The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier’s Check, Certified Check, or Bid Bond in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Maxatawny Township. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor’s Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten (10) calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. Maxatawny Township reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Township. Maxatawny Township also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in bids received.
