NOTICE TO SUBCONTRACTORS
REQUEST FOR PRE-BID QUALIFICATIONS
The State of Maine, Department of Corrections and the Bureau of General
Services, is soliciting the interest of demolition, concrete, masonry, steel and
misc. metals, millwork, roofing, waterproofing and sealants, firestopping, doors
frames and hardware, glass and glazing, drywall and framing, flooring, resinous
flooring, painting, acoustic ceilings, specialties, signage, detention accessories,
fire protection, plumbing/HVAC, electrical, and site work subcontractors for the
Women’s Medical and Mental Health Unit in Windham, Maine. The mental
health addition and renovation of Building 7 consists of approximately 3600 sf of
new construction and 1800 sf of renovated space. Construction is steel and
masonry with the scope of work including divisions 02 through 33.

Pre-bid
qualifications packages are due by 2:00 p.m. on August 16, 2024 at the Bureau of
General Services. The questionnaire package must be completed and returned via
email, with “MCC Prequalification Questionnaire” in the subject line to:
BGS.Architect@maine.gov by the due date above.
Cianbro Corporation at 101 Cianbro Square, Pittsfield, Maine as Construction
Manager for the Women’s Medical Unit will be seeking bids for the above trades.
All information pertaining to bid requirements will be made available upon
request by email at tdesmara@cianbro.com.
