663A4-22-202 INSTALL SPRINKLER AND WATER MAIN CONNECTION BLDG.16 AMERICAN LAKE VA MEDICAL CENTER 9600 Veterans Dr SW, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA 98493 Procurement Number: 36C26024R0044 This is a pre-solicitation notice synopsizing an upcoming competitive solicitation satisfying the requirements of FAR 5.201 and FAR 5.203. An invitation for Request for Proposals (RFP) is anticipated to be posted no later than April 28, 2025. The VA Medical Center American Lake Campus located in Lakewood, WA, has a requirement for a Firmed Fixed Price construction project that requires a general contractor to provide a wet fire suppression system for the occupied floors of the structure (Covered Patio, 1st and 2nd) and a dry fire suppression system for the unoccupied areas of the facility excluding crawl space. The new system shall provide an adequate back-flow prevention devices, position indicator valve, associated fittings, the addition of a two-inch isolation valve to the buildings main potable water service line, Fire Department Connection (FDC) point, and associated support as details are provided in the attached Drawings and Specs. Work will include asbestos and lead paint abatement. The new fire suppression system will be servicing approximately 6,000GSF spaces in Building 16. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237110 and the size standard is $45 million. The solicitation is being issued in the best value continuum described in FAR Part 15.101. A bid bond is required, and the bid guarantee amount shall be at least 20 percent of the bid price but shall not exceed $3 million. This project is 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.
