Kelly Road Paving Improvements, City Project 2024-04-TRFC

The Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland are soliciting bids for the project:

KELLY ROAD PAVING IMPROVEMENTS

CITY PROJECT NO. 2024-04-TRFC

Completed bids shall be submitted to the City of Cumberland’s online solicitation website, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 9/18/24.  All Bids will be virtually released at 2:00 p.m. on that date and available to view on the website. Released bid information does not constitute any award has been made.

Project description:

This project includes pavement repairs to a portion of Kelly Road in Cumberland, Maryland. Repairs include some full-depth asphalt repair, as well as some milling and overlaying. This project also includes installation of various thermoplastic pavement markings at two midblock crosswalks.

An OPTIONAL pre-bid site visit for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 9/5/24. The address for the site is 601 Kelly Road (meet in parking lot across from YMCA). Alternatively, interested bidders may visit the site on their own at any time prior to bids being due, and may submit any questions in writing as outlined in the Information Summary of the Bid Specifications.

A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, for all construction contracts in excess of $100,000, at the time the contract is executed.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
