GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF WORK
The major work will consist of the (approximate) following: (1) replacement of the chemical feed piping for the ferric sulfate, caustic, and fluoride feed systems; (2) replacement and relocation of the coagulant aid polymer storage and feed system; (3) replacement of the sludge settling aid polymer storage and feed system; (4) demolition of bulk chlorine gas storage and feed system; (5) demolition of the bulk anhydrous ammonia storage and feed system; (6) demolition of the chlorine and ammonia scrubbers; (7) construction of a disinfection building; (8) construction of a sodium hypochlorite storage and feed system; (10) construction of electrical, instrumentation, and control improvements to support the Work; and (11) miscellaneous site work, paving, grading, yard piping and pipe chases.
In accordance with the provisions of Texas State Law, the City of Denton (the City) is requesting submissions to contract with an individual or business with considerable experience in providing goods or services of this solicitation. The responses and the cost solutions shall be submitted to the City of Denton in a sealed submission.
The awarded individual or business shall possess a proven track record of using innovative approaches to providing goods and services that represent the best value to their clients. The awarded individual or business shall have the ability to accomplish all aspects of the requested services. The selected individual or firm should be able to provide innovative methods to deal with municipal challenges, and cost effective solutions.
A firm may submit a solicitation response for one or more of the categories of product or services requested in this solicitation.
