Edmonton School Division
The Division owns and operates over 230 facilities serving approximately 122,000 students.
The Division’s Integrated Infrastructure Services is responsible for these sites. In addition, each school receives an operating budget and is involved in site-based management, enabling schools to make decisions about most areas of operation including minor program-based renovations.
Future construction bids will be for a full building overhaul as outlined in this RFSQ. The project will replace the old steam heating system with a new, high-efficiency hydronic boiler system. This includes removing all existing steam equipment like classroom ventilators and heaters and installing new, compatible units. The work will also involve replacing ceilings and millwork in affected classrooms, upgrading the school's electrical and lighting systems, and reinforcing the roof to support a new gymnasium air handling unit (AHU).
