Great Camp Santanoni Fire Protection
Description:

The project will be a single contract for installation of a high-pressure water mist fire suppression system at Great Camp Santanoni, including all ancillary components and sub-systems associated with the water mist installation. Great Camp Santanoni is a National Historic Landmark within the Adirondack Forest Preserve and installation must follow New York State preservation standards, along with Forest Preserve regulations.

Sealed bids, clearly marked with project name and bidder, will be received by Adirondack Architectural Heritage (AARCH) at 1745 Main Street / Keeseville, NY 12944 or via email until 1:00 PM local time on January 9, 2025. No allowances can be made for delays in delivery. Refer carefully to the Instructions to Bidders for specific bid requirements.

Bids will be opened and read aloud in a Zoom meeting, not in-person, at 1:00 PM that day. For an electronic invitation to the Zoom meeting contact AARCH not less than 24 hours prior to the opening.

The Engineer is Christopher Crivello, Principal, RAN FIRE PROTECTION ENGINEERING, ccrivello@ranfpe.com . Bid documents will be e-mailed by the Engineer to bidders at no charge within 48 hours of an e-mail request clearly identifying the applicant. When requesting drawings, the bidder shall also copy erin@aarch.org on the request. If you require verification of receipt, then ask upon bid document request. Contractors shall be responsible for printing their own 24” x 36” drawings and 8 1/2" x 11" Project Manual, and for distribution of project information to secondary subs and suppliers.

A mandatory pre-bid in-person site visit will be held at 10am on Thursday, November 21, 2024 by advance reservation. Register for the pre-bid site visit with Erin Tobin, AARCH, at erin@aarch.org with the Subject Heading “Camp Santanoni Pre-Bid Site Visit.”

The property is owned by the State of New York within the Adirondack Forest Preserve. Partial funding is provided by the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and both NYS prevailing wage rates and Good Faith goals for Minority and Women Business Enterprise (MWBE) participation apply.
