INVITATION FOR SEALED BIDS
The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks will accept sealed bids until 2:00 p.m.,
March 24, 2026, at our office at 1505 Eastover Drive, Jackson, MS 39211-6374, to be opened
immediately thereafter for the sale of surplus property, currently located at Trace State Park,
2139 Faulkner Rd. Belden, MS 38826. The surplus property consists of One (1) Single Wide Mobile
Home (refer to attached Pictures and Lot contents). PLEASE NOTE THIS SALE IS FOR THE LISTED
LOT CONTENTS ONLY, AND NOT FOR ANY STATE PARK AREA LOT, OR OTHER REAL PROPERTY OF
THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI. The Single Wide Mobile Home is offered in “As Is Condition” as specified
belo•w: One (1) Single Wide Mobile Home AS IS condition

MDWFP reserves the right to define equals, reject any and/or all bids, or any part of any/or all bids, and
to waive any informality.
Bid Information. Bid files may be examined during normal working hours by bid participants.
Nonparticipants will be prohibited from obtaining any information relative to the bid until the official
award has been made. We do not give any information out pertaining to bid results over the telephone.
It shall be the responsibility of the bidders to understand the specifications. Any requests for clarification
shall be in writing and shall be submitted to our Asset Management Office at least five (5) days prior to
the time and date set for the bid opening. Any questions and/or request for clarifications may be emailed
to johnlee@wfp.ms.gov.
Awards. Awards will be made based on the highest bid total figure. However, we reserve the right to
award in the best interest of the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks. Factors to be
considered in determining the best bid include:

• Bidder's ability to transport sold property within the allotted time frame

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. No bid shall be altered or amended after the specified time for opening bids.
2. Sale will be made or entered into with the highest, responsible bidder meeting specifications.
3. Certified checks for payment shall be made payable to the Mississippi Department of
Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks no later than five (5) days after the bid is awarded. No personal
checks will be accepted. Payment that is not received within five (5) days of bid award may
result in disqualification with award to the next highest bidder.
4. Bid openings will be conducted open to the public. However, they will serve only to open bids.
No discussion will be entered into with any bidder as to the quality or provisions of the
specifications, and no award will be made either stated or implied at the bid opening. All
bidders are invited and encouraged to attend the bid opening meeting to review the submitted
bids. After the close of the bid opening meeting, the bids will be considered to be in the
evaluation process and will not be available for review by bidders. Questions shall not be
answered as a result of telephone inquiries.
5. Property MUST BE REMOVED no later than seven (7) business days following verification of
payment. MDWFP Asset Management Office will notify the bidder of verification of payment
and expected pick up date. Failure to remove the property within this period may result in
payment being forfeit and the property being offered for re-sale, or destroyed.
6. If MDWFP is closed for any reason, including but not limited to: acts of God, strikes, lockouts,
riots, acts of war, epidemics, governmental regulations superimposed after the fact, fire,
earthquakes, floods, or other natural disasters (the "Force Majeure Events"), which closure
prevents the opening of bids at the advertised date and time, all bids received shall be publicly
opened and read aloud on the next business day that the agency shall be open and at the
previously advertised time. The new date and time of the bid opening, as determined in
accordance with this paragraph, shall not be advertised, and all bidders, upon submission of a
bid, shall be deemed to have knowledge of and shall have agreed to the provisions of this
paragraph. Bids shall be received by MDWFP until the new date and time of the bid opening
as set forth herein. MDWFP shall not be held responsible for the receipt of any bids for which
the delivery was attempted and failed due to the closure of the agency as a result of a Force
Majeure Event. Each bidder shall be required to ensure the delivery and receipt of its bid by
MDWFP prior to the new date and time of the bid opening.
