Temporary Food, Beverage and Catering - NYS Fairgrounds
Description:

The New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, for its Division of the New York State Fair (the “Department” and the “Fair”), is soliciting applications from food and beverage service vendors to provide either or both temporary food service and event catering for functions held on the New York State Fairgrounds where we do not have a permanent food facility (excluding the Empire Room and Somerset Room in the Art & Home Building: the EXPO building (main floor only) and the Center of Progress Restaurant) in the Town of Geddes, Onondaga County (Syracuse), New York. Catering services must include, if requested, the sale of beer, wine and spirits pursuant to its discretionary authority under State Finance Law Section 163 (6). All necessary quote documents have been attached to this posting.

These temporary food services and catering services will not be required, or permitted, during the annual New York State Fair, which is applied for and licensed separately.

Temporary Food Service:
The Department will establish a list of licensed vendors providing temporary food service. Any show or event promoter requiring the use of temporary food service may have that service provided only through a vendor, or vendors, selected from that list. Each licensed vendor will pay to the Fair twelve (12%) percent of the gross revenue, less state and local sales taxes, from the sale of all food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Communication with respect to this procurement initiated by or on behalf of an interested vendor through other than the “Designated Contact Person(s)” identified below may constitute an “impermissible contact” under state law with respect to Procurement Lobbying, and could result in disqualification of that vendor.

Any updates or changes will be posted to the New York State Contract Reporter.
