Project Description: Bethlehem Township will receive sealed proposals for the (SR2018) Freemansburg Avenue and 9th Street Emergency Signal, Bethlehem Township, Northampton County, Pennsylvania. Proposals will be submitted online via the PennBid Program by the undersigned until 3:00 PM (Prevailing Time), February 24, 2026. A summary of bids received will be displayed on PennBid immediately after bid opening. The principal items of work include but are not limited to:
The installation of emergency signals preemption detectors, mast arms, signage, conduit, pavement markings, topsoiling, seeding, and mulching.
Bidding Documents are available at no cost via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com).
Each Bidder shall deposit with its Proposal a certified check, bank money order or Bid bond in the amount of not less than ten percent of the Total Bid as defined in the Instructions to Bidders.
The Bid Form is included with the Bidding Documents for Reference. Bidders shall complete the electronic bid form within PennBid (“RESPONSE” tab), inclusive of all pricing items and required supporting documents as identified.
The minimum wages paid for all labor employed on this project shall be as established by the Secretary of Labor, Department of Labor and Industry, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and as tabulated in the Project Manual. Since this is a DCED/PennDOT MTF funded project, all Contractors are required to be PennDOT pre-qualified.
