Orchard Drive Roadway Improvements

The City of Centralia, Marion County, Illinois, will receive sealed bids for the construction
of the project labeled "ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS / SECTION 25-00085-00-PV” until
10:00 A.M. on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the office of the City Clerk at the
Centralia City Hall, 101 South Locust St., Centralia, Illinois 62801. All bids will be publicly
opened and read aloud at that time. Sealed Bids should be labeled "ROADWAY
IMPROVEMENTS / SECTION 25-00085-00-PV ″ on the outside of the bid submittal
envelope.
The proposed work shall consist of roadway improvements to Orchard Drive.
Improvements include removal and replacement of concrete pavement, curb and gutter,
storm sewer, earthwork and other miscellaneous work to complete the project.
Bid Documents, including Contract Drawings and Specifications, are available at the
office of the Engineer: Gonzalez Companies, LLC; 7 Carpenter Drive, Salem, Illinois
62881; Phone (618) 222-2221 x 117. Bid Documents are also available for examination
at the Southern Illinois Builders Association, O'Fallon, Illinois and at the City of Centralia
City Hall.
All bidders must be a pre-qualified IDOT contractor. Within 24 hours after the letting, the
two low bidders must file an Affidavit of Availability indicating all uncompleted contracts
awarded to them and all low bids pending award for Federal, State, County, Municipal,
and private work. All proposals must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty. The City
of Centralia, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any
informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
