Sealed competitive bids for one (1) new Full Electric Mid-Size SUV with an Add Alternate for

a Plug-In Hybrid SUV will be received via email to ddibiase@townofmiddlebury.org. Bids

are due no later than 10:00am October 17th.

The Town of Middlebury reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any and all

bids, or to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town.

Bid Specifications

The following specifications describe requirements for the quality and type of equipment to

be furnished. The intent of the detailed specifications is not to restrict manufacturers but to

provide guidance on the minimum requirements. Where the bid deviates from these

minimum specifications, bidder shall note the deviation in their bid:

Full Electric Mid-Size SUV

- Brand new, mid-size SUV body style

- Full electric powertrain

- Extended range battery (minimum 250+ miles per charge)

- All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive

- Seating capacity: minimum 5 passengers

- Cargo capacity suitable for municipal/agency use

- Safety features: collision avoidance, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring

- Fast charging capability (Level 3 DC fast charge)

- Minimum 8 years / 100,000 miles battery warranty

- Standard vehicle warranty

- Compliance with all federal and state regulations

Add Alternate: Plug-In Hybrid SUV

- Brand new, mid-size SUV body style

- Plug-in hybrid powertrain

- Minimum electric-only range: 30 miles

- Gasoline engine with high fuel efficiency

- All-wheel drive or four-wheel drive

- Seating capacity: minimum 5 passengers

- Safety features: collision avoidance, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring

- Standard manufacturer’s warranty

Other Requirements

Warranty Service:

Include standard warranty coverages with bid.

Provide available extended warranty options and costs.

Delivery and Lead Time:

Include build time and delivery schedule from date of order for both electric and hybrid

options.

Bids Shall Include:

- Manufacturer’s catalog cut sheets and full specifications

- A copy of the Bid Specifications and Bid Response Form appropriately filled out

- Detailed warranty coverages

- Delivery and lead time details

- Detailed list of any deviations from or omissions to the specifications

Special Conditions

Bids are due on 10:00am on October 17th emailed to ddibiase@townofmiddlebury.org.

Bid will be awarded following review by committee and approval by the Selectboard.

Pricing for any submitted bid must be guaranteed for 90 days from bid opening.
