City of Milan TIA / LMIG Leveling, Resurfacing, and Sidewalk Improvments

Separate, sealed Bids will be received for furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of Milling, Leveling, Resurfacing, and Sidewalk improvements to Kendall Street, Charlton Street, Birch Street, Cherry Street, Pickerton Street, Cobb Street, Wendall Street, and 4th Avenue located in the City of Milan, Georgia until 3:00 PM (local time) Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at which time bids will be opened and read. This project shall be financed with the Transportation Investment Act (TIA), Local Maintenance and Improvements Grant (LMIG), Local Roads Assistance (LRA), and other city funding as required.The meeting will be held at the City of Milan City Hall and will be opened to the public. Proposals can be mailed to the attention of Chad Puckett, Mayor for the City of Milan, P.O. Box 87, Milan, Georgia 31060. Bids will be opened to the public. Proposals received after the designated time will not be considered. The City of Milan may select a successful low bidder after evaluation of all bids.
The Scope of Work Includes:
Milling, Leveling, Resurfacing, and Sidewalk improvements to Kendall Street, Charlton Street, Birch Street, Cherry Street, Pickerton Street, Cobb Street, Wendall Street, and 4th Avenue located in the City of Milan, Georgia. All proposals shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the City of Milan in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid for the complete work: such Bid Bond representing that the Bidder, if awarded a Contract, will promptly enter into a Contract and furnish Performance Bond and Payment Bonds as provided by the law and approved by the Attorney for the City of Milan. The Performance Bond shall be equal to 100 Percent (100%) of the contract amount and the Payment Bond shall be equal to 100 percent (100%) of the Contract amount.
All work on the project must be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days of the date of the Notice to Proceed.
