OJT & CWTP SS - On the Job Training/Workforce Tran

Description:

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s (PennDOT) requests to effectuate the delivery of an On-the-Job Training and Commonwealth Workforce Transformation (OJT & CWTP) Supportive Services (SS) program to identify and recruit minorities, women and disadvantaged individuals that have been underrepresented on federally assisted highway projects. The purpose of the OJT & CWTP SS is to provide trainee orientation, follow-up services, networking, and outreach events in support of PennDOT’s OJT & CWTP SS programs. Additionally, the OJT & CWTP SS will provide trainee and development support through specialized programs to address retention. This program will allow for PennDOT to survey and address barriers for trainees in completing the OJT & CWTP SS programs. It can provide mitigation tools and strategies, develop measures and outcomes in an effort to increase graduation numbers and workforce retention.

The Federal Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program applies to this procurement. There is a DBE Goal of 0% established for this procurement, but the Selected Offeror will still be required to make a good faith effort to identify, solicit and use subcontractors certified under the DBE program.
