Project Description: Sealed Bids for the following contract associated with the Crossroads East Business Park East Phase-1, Contract No. 2 Sanitary Sewer Infrastructure Construction, will be received online via the PennBid Program, by CAN DO, INC., until 2:00 p.m. local time on Friday, September 26, 2025, at which time the bids will be opened electronically and shortly after which, bid tabulation results will be publicly posted on PennBid’s website. The Project consists of installation of new sanitary sewer facilities including but not limited to approximately 1,060 L.F. of gravity sanitary sewer main and associated laterals and manholes and 7,655 L.F. of Low Pressure Sewer main and associated laterals and manhole.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. All bidding documents are available at no cost at https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com.
A pre-bid conference will be held on Wednesday, September 17th, 11:00 a.m. at the project site: the northerly side of State Route 424 between Interstate 81 and State Route 309 in Hazle Township, PA.
Attendance at the pre-bid conference is mandatory.
Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price.
The following wage rate requirements are applicable to this contract: PA PREVAILING WAGES
A Certified Check or Bank Draft payable to the order of CAN DO, INC. or a satisfactory Bid Bond, executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid. Attention is called to the fact that the PA Prevailing Wage Act is applicable this contract; Contractor must file Stipulation Against Liens prior to the start of construction; Contractor shall provide acceptable liability, property damage, and Worker’s Compensation insurance and the Contractor must ensure that employees & applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin or handicap. CAN DO, INC. reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
