ADDENDUM NO. 1
Dear Proponents,
This addendum is issued to reflect the following immediately. It shall be the responsibility of
interested Offerors to adhere to any changes or revisions to the IFB as identified in this Addendum
No. 1. This documentation shall become permanent and made part of the departmental files.

Clarification No. 1 – Addendum Issued: Tuesday, February 10, 2026 will be posted to the Santa Fe
County website and sent to all who have returned the Acknowledgement of
Receipt form to be placed on the distribution list.
Question No. 1:
Will in situ material be acceptable for pipe bedding and pipe zone backfill?
Answer No. 1:
In situ/native materials may be used for pipe bedding and pipe zone backfill.
Subject to meeting the requirements for filling materials requirements of the
backfill technical specification in Section 31 23 23 – Part 2 Products – 2.1
FILL MATERIALS.
Question No. 2:
Where is the source of construction water for the project?
Answer No. 2:
Construction water can be obtained at the bulk water station at the public safety
complex off State Highway 14. The contractor will be responsible for setting
up an account and purchasing water for construction.

Question No. 3:
What is the engineers estimate for the project?
Answer No. 3:
The Owner and Engineer will not release the Engineer's Estimate for the
project. The Engineer's estimate will be made available following the Bid
Opening.

Can you identify a laydown/staging area for the project?
Answer No. 4:
A laydown/staging area is available adjacent to the La Cienega Fire Station
where the pre-bid was located off of Rancho Viejo Blvd.
Question No. 5:
Can grubbings be wasted onsite?
Answer No. 5:
Owner is fine with disposing on site and spreading across the project.

Bid Form skips item 16 and goes from 15 to 17?

Bid form will be updated in Addendum No. 2 to include Temporary bypass
pumping as Item 16. Temporary bypass pumping may be needed for the
connection to the La Pradera system (x2) and the existing OSHARA sewer.
Contractor shall coordinate with the Owner and Engineer prior to performing
bypass pumping or connecting to the existing facilities. Due to limited flow,
bypass pumping may be avoidable by plugging and performing the respective
connections through coordinated and monitored efforts.

Bid item 22, can you verify this quantity?
Answer No. 8:
The quantity for bid item 22 will be updated in Addendum No. 2
Question No. 9:
RD sheets can you provide design contour elevations so we can verify amount
of dirt to be moved?
Answer No. 9:
Road cross sections, shown in RD 26 to RD 56, include elevation of the road
cross sections. The quantities can be verified using the information provided
in table included with the cross sections. Design files will be provided to the
awarded contractor for staking and construction purposes.
Question No. 10:
Bid item 21 indicates 11 acres of Clearing & Grubbing. However, bid item 40
only shows 3 acres of reseeding. (The roadway only accounts for 3 acres of
area) Please clarify.

The original quantities were based on total disturbed areas to daylight minus
the road section. This will be revised and the quantities of the clearing and

updated to reflect an updated quantity of seeding of 8 acres.
The application of seeding may be performed using hydro mulching.
Bid item 35 – 24” culvert pipe, plans do not match bid quantity?
The bid quantity states the correct quantity of culvert pipes. On sheet RD-18,
The existing culvert pipe will be extended in length. The culvert pipe is
estimated to be extended approximately 14.2 linear feet. The final length of the
culvert pipe is to be coordinated with the Engineer and Owner.
Trench & Backfill quantities do not match pipe quantities.
The bid form will be updated in Addendum No. 2 to reflect the updated
quantities.
Bid items 12 – 8” Stub Out plans show 3 each, bid schedule shows 1 each.
The bid form will be updated in Addendum No. 2 to reflect the updated
quantity.
Bid item 17 – Asphalt Remove & Replace, bid schedule shows 380 sy. Plans
show almost 900 sy.
The quantity of asphalt remove & replace shown on the plans is in units of
square feet. The bid schedule shows a correct value.
Bid item 40 – Seeding, what specification applies?
Bid item 40 shall follow the Seeding 32 92 19 specification provided in the
supplemental technical specifications.
Please add this Addendum No. 1 to the original proposal documents and refer to proposal documents,
hereto as such. This and all subsequent addenda will become part of any resulting contract documents
and have effects as if original issued. All other unaffected sections will have their original
interpretation and remain in full force and effect. Responders are reminded that any questions or need
