ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Bid #26-008
Separate, sealed bids for the Substation Chain Link Fencing Project will be received by the City
of Dothan, office of the Purchasing Agent, until 2:00 P.M. local time, November 25, 2025, and then
at the City Commission Chambers and publicly opened and read aloud.

The project work consists material, labor, and equipment to remove the existing fencing and
installing new fencing and gates around the electrical substation. Temporary fencing will
need to be installed and maintained during construction to control access to the substation
area.

Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, form, and subject to the conditions
provided in the Information for Bidders.
Each bidder shall comply with all applicable State and Local laws concerning licensing,
registration, and regulation of firms doing business in the State of Alabama.
A MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE will be held on site at the North Dothan Substation located at ,
4011 Ross Clark Circle, Dothan AL 36303 at 10:00 am CST, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 for the
purpose of reviewing the project and answering Bidder’s questions. The Pre-Bid conference is
required for General Contractors, and subcontractors are strongly encouraged to attend.
The City of Dothan reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive
technical errors and/or abandon the bid process if, in their judgement, the best interests of the
Owner will thereby be promoted.
No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
