Biennial Inspection of Terminals (B.I.T.)

The City of Pasadena Public Works (Building Systems and Fleet Management Division) is seeking bids from qualified vendors for Biennial Inspection of Terminals for the City's fleet of heavy duty trucks. The purpose of this solicitation is to ensure City vehicles remain safe to operate in compliance with The Basic Inspection of Terminals (BIT) Program, overseen by the California Highway Patrol (CHP). The selected vendor will be expected to deliver high-quality services that comply with the BIT Program and relevant industry standards, and help the City effectively manage Fleet needs. This contract term will be for 5 years.

The City of Pasadena operates and manages approximately 1,100 vehicles in its Fleet. Pasadena’s Fleet Management team performs repair and maintenance services on City vehicles and equipment on a routine (planned) and emergency (unplanned) basis. In order to meet the City’s automotive demands, the City requires an outsourced qualified vendor to provide services/parts for fleet maintenance.
