RFP # 26-06: Fairlee WTP Replacement Well Project in Kent County, MD

The County Commissioners of Kent County, Maryland and McCrone Engineering are requesting proposals from bidders with qualified staff and experience to replace and abandon existing Well # 2 by constructing a new wall adjacent to it, to be named Well # 4. Work also includes a new well pump, minor site and pipe work, a replacement motor started, and electrical work associated with the new well pump. A Pre-Bid Meeting is scheduled for 2:00pm on November 4, 2025 at the Kent County Department of Public Works (DPW) Conference Room (address below), with a site visit to follow . Attendance at the Pre-Bid Meeting is only encouraged and not required, but a site visit is mandatory and can be arranged by coordinating with Kim Middleton at 443-282-6268.

Contractors having questions concerning the bid should submit them in writing via email to Ryan Rangel at rrangel@mccrone-engineering.com with copy to Mike S. Moulds at msmoulds@kentgov.org no later than 12:00pm on November 13, 2025. Emailed questions shall include the project name FAIRLEE WTP REPLACEMENT WELL in the subject heading. A summary of all submitted inquiries and responses will be published in an addendum by November 17, 2025.  All bids, which shall include all addenda, printed and signed, are due by or before 2:00pm on November 24, 2025 , at which time the bid opening will take place at the Kent County DPW, 709 Morgnec Rd, Chestertown, MD 21620.
