Description
Canada, represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), is inviting suppliers with experience in the delivery of construction services to submit a Response to qualify for the Replacement of Fire Alarm Systems for the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, in Lagos. (the “Requirement”). This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) defines the requirements for the qualification of Respondents for the Requirement. Interested Respondents are required to respond to this ITQ. Based on these Responses, Canada intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this ITQ, the Qualified Respondents to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) stage of the solicitation.
The Requirement includes renovation work at the the High Commission of Canada in Nigeria, in Lagos.
The scope will include, but is not limited to, the following:
a) Site Survey.
b) Design to include layouts, material cut sheets and installation details.
c) Underground cabling infrastructure and associated appurtenances to feed various buildings within the compound. May include excavation works.
d) Resurface the road and surrounding terrain, addressing any drainage issues, and ensuring the area is properly restored following the trench digging for the cabling infrastructure.
e) Construction monitoring.
f) Commissioning and testing.
g) Training of the fire alarm system.
h) Support with warrantee and Maintenance contract establishment.
Work will be delivered in the Design-Bid-Build methodology. The pre-qualified Respondent(s) will follow the drawings and scope of work that will be outlined in the Stage Two – Request for Proposal.
Respondents must be capable of providing the full range of services required in English or French, and can travel to, and perform the work in Lagos, Nigeria.
The Offeror must have the capacity to fulfill the works on site in Lagos.
The estimated contract period will be 12 month(s).
