PLEASE SEE THE FOLLOWING CHANGES TO THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND TECHNICAL
SPECIFICATIONS, ALL DOCUMENTS ARE ATTACHED:
1. Question: Are any permits or licenses needed?
Answer: Utility Contractors License, Land Disturbance Permit (Contractor will obtain from City of
Perry community development department. Associated costs $40/acre).
2. Question: Will INTSE provide inspections of work as part of an existing agreement with the owner?
Answer: Yes, there will be weekly inspections.
3. Question: Is staking to be provided by INTSE under an existing agreement with owner?
Answer: No, but ISE can provide construction staking for $6,500.
4. Question: Are any shop drawings required for this project?
Answer: Yes, shop drawings are required for gabion baskets and the headwall if precast.
5. Question: Are any samples required for this project?
Answer: No.
6. Question: SC-6.09 references prevailing wage rate. Does this project require certified payroll
submissions?
Answer: No
7. Question: Is the statement in the article 2.02 a.1.b referring to progress payment percentage, correct?
Answer: The statement has been updated; please see updated project manual.
8. Question: The gabion baskets are specified as 3’x3’x3’, can they be 3’x3’x9’?
Answer: Yes, the gabion baskets can be 3’x3’ by any length. 3’ long cells are required within the basket;
so, if you order a 3’x3’x9’ basket, it must contain three - 3’ cells. The baskets shall be hand-packed in
order to completely fill.
9. Question: The 4”-8” stone is not available. Can you provide an approved stone size for the gabion
baskets that is available at the Vulcan Quarry?
Answer: The Macon Vulcan Quarry sells a 6” surge that goes down to screenings. The surge will be
acceptable. The baskets shall be hand-packed in order to completely fill. The drawings and bid form
have been updated accordingly.
A temporary construction easement is currently being obtained to allow access along the gravel drive from the
east of the project. Please see the updated drawings that reflect this change.
