Description: This synopsis notice is being posted to satisfy the requirements of DFARS PGA 206.302-1. The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award a Cost Plus Fixed Fee Task Order off of a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA ) to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), Archbald Pennsylvania. This order is for program management and engineering support to improve the BDU-59C/B by continuing the development and testing of a twin lug carriage, which could lead to integration on additional weapon platforms. on . Contract Award is anticipated for Q2 of 2024.

This synopsis is published for informational purposes only. (THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS). This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302‐1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement.
