This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be posted; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This combined synopsis/solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-97 effective 24 January 2018.

RFQ Amendment 001: Updating the minimum requirements and salient characteristics of requested item(s) as follows:

Offerors are encouraged to provide engineering and testing data/calculations and or engineered evidence, in accordance with TOP 10-2-175, to show the offerors proposed item(s) meet or exceed the minimum testing thresholds identified in the solicitation. The engineering documentation provided shall only pertain to those levels of testing appropriate for military shelter systems.

(1) Question: Does the generator need to meet EPA Tier 4 Final certified requirements, or EPA Interim Tier 4 certified requirements?

(1) Answer: The requirement would be EPA Interim Tier 4 certified. The standard fuel source is Diesel #2 or JP8.

RFQ Amendment 002: Incorporating revised RFQ document, FA441718Q0063 - Rev 01, dated 2 May 2018. Revision 01 requests the addition of a Quantity of two (2) each, one (1) per tent system, 5-Ton ECU on skid. Please review revised RFQ in the attachment section for complete details.

(2) Question: Is the electrical power distribution system designed to be inside the shelter and receive power through the 60 Amp cables (50'L) from the generator? Or is this PDU meant to sit outside and receive power from the generator and then distribute that power to the ECU through the 60 Amp cables (50'L)?

(2) Answer: The 60 Amp Shelter PDU will be inside the shelter and receive power through the 60 Amp cables (50'L) from the generator.
