Privacy Curtains for Spinal Cord Injury Clinic

GENERAL: The Spinal Cord Injury Clinic at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, FL 33612, has a requirement for patient privacy curtains. The curtains will give the patients the necessary privacy during appointments and procedures conducted by the VA hospital. In addition to an improved patient experience the privacy curtains are required in all patient care rooms. The privacy curtains and curtain tracks in these rooms are currently non-existent and this purchase will make the rooms compliant and improve the patient experience.
BACKGROUND: When the Spinal Cord Injury building was built, the required privacy curtain tracks and curtains were not installed. With the purchase of the privacy curtains, the entire Spinal Cord Injury will be in compliance with required privacy curtains for each patient occupying the patient care rooms. At this time patients requiring treatment do not have privacy curtains and must rely on hope that the door does not open while they are dressing or undressing. Family members or guests must leave the room to provide privacy to the patients with the absence of the privacy curtains.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this requirement is to secure privacy curtains for James A Haley Spinal Cord Injury Clinic. This is a brand name only requirement with no substitutions. The INPRO brand is the only brand excepted for this requirement.
SCOPE: The contractor will provide equipment, installation, and standard warranty for the requested items.
