Part 1. General
SECTION 1.01 BID DATE - REVISION:
(a) Before May 28TH, 2020 @ 2:59:59 PM (MST – BOISE)
SECTION 1.02 BID LOCATION – CLARIFICATION:
(b) Location: 3311 W. State St. Boise, Idaho 83703
SECTION 1.03 BID RECIEPT FORM – CLARIFICATION:
(a) Physical Bid documents must be delivered by either physical courier or mail.
(b) Electronic Transmission of Bid Documents is not allowed. Electronic bid documents will be
rejected and will be considered non-responsive bids.
SECTION 1.04 BUILDING PERMIT FEES – REVISION:
(a) Building permit fees are to be included in the project bid cost. The contractor is responsible for
all permits. The only Permitting jurisdiction for this project is: The State of Idaho Division of
Building Safety (DBS). The owner has submitted the project to State of Idaho Division of
Public Safety and the plan check fee has been included. It is the contractor’s responsibility to
include the cost in the bid to pick up and pay for all building permit fees, including, building,
electrical, and all site development required permits.
SECTION 1.05 SPECIAL INSPECTIONS – CLARIFICATION:
(a) The owner shall provide all special inspections through a Third-Party Contract. The cost of the
special inspections shall not be included in the project bid, except re-inspections that are found
to be non-conforming to the contract documents.
(i) Note: It is the contractor’s responsibility to pay for re‐inspections if the inspected work is in non‐
conformance with the contract documents and performance.
SECTION 1.06 ENGINEER’S ESTIMATE – ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
(a) The Engineer’s estimate is $400,000
SECTION 1.07 SITE UTILITIES - CLARIFICATION
(a) The owner is contracting separately with utility companies to make modifications to the site
utilities. This scope of work to be excluded from project bid cost.
Part 2. Project Manual
SECTION 2.01 SECTION 00 52 13 – AGREEMENT FORM - CLARIFICATION
(a) Per Article 23 Property Insurance – Section 23.01
(i) “The owner shall purchase or maintain, from a company or companies lawfully authorized to do
business in the State of Idaho, property insurance written on a builders risk “all‐risk”
(ii) Contractor to not include the cost of “Builders Risk Policy” in project bid cost.
SECTION 2.02 SECTION 13 34 19 – METAL BUILDING SYSTEMS – CLARIFICATION
(a) The Primary Steel frame to be supplied with a factory primer coating and field painted per
section 09 06 00 Paint Schedule

(b) The Z-Purlins & Z-Girts are to be supplied with a factory galvanized coating and be field
painted per section 09 06 00 Paint Schedule to provide additional protection due to the high
corrosive environment
(c) All Nuts and Bolts are to be supplied with factory galvanized coating and field painted per
section 09 06 00 Paint Schedule to provide additional protection due to the high corrosive
environment
(d) Ridge Cap / Vent: The Contractor is required to provide a vented Ridge cap.
(e) A No R-value condensation blanket is not required for this project. Contractor to not include the
cost of condensation blanket in the project bid cost.
SECTION 2.03 SECTION 13 34 19 – METAL BUILDING SYSTEMS – APPROVED
ALTERNATE
(f) 2.5B – Through fastened panels: 1 1/8” deep roofing panel profile is an acceptable panel depth
(g) 2.6B – Through fastened panels: 1 1/8” deep wall panel profile is an acceptable panel depth
SECTION 2.04 SECTION 13 34 19 – METAL BUILDING SYSTEMS - REVISIONS
(h) 2.6F2 – Overhead Doors: Remove note 2.6F2 “Opening must be prepared for future
installation of overhead door” from the project manual – It is not anticipated that doors will be
installed at these openings.
(i) 2.6G – Louvers: Remove all notes to gable louvers: There are No gables are required for this
project.
Part 3. Drawings
SECTION 3.01 SHEET C1.2 CIVIL SITE PLAN – CLARIFICATION
(a) The civil site plan shows a 2’-0” wide concrete valley to drain water away from the salt shed
and the future Loader storage shed. This concrete valley to be included in alternate #1.
(b) Alternate #1 calls for the expanded asphalt to be included in the alternate bid cost. If Alternate
#1 isn’t selected the owner’s expectation is to leave the sub grade 4” down to allow future
asphalt installation. Note: the anticipation is if alternate #1 isn’t select temporary gravel ramps
to be placed at concrete apron edge around salt-shed perimeter to make transition from 4”
lower grade to top of concrete apron. Additional transition to be made at entry asphalt. This
transition will be at a .5” to 12” slope.
SECTION 3.02 SHEET A2.0 FLOOR PLAN - CLARIFICATION
(a) Grid Lines 1,8, A, and D: are exterior face of Z-girt & exterior face of concrete foundation
(b) Grid Lines 2,3,4,5,6,7, B, and C: are to center of steel column
SECTION 3.03 SHEET A2.1 REFLECTED CEILING PLAN – REVISION
(a) Keynote #2: Revise Keynote #2 to state: “Field Painted, Factory Primed Steel Frame, Design
Build Package – Refer to Structural sheets and specifications for performance criteria.”
(b) Keynote #3: Revise Keynote #3 to state: “Field Painted, Factory Galvanized Z-Purlin’s & Girts,
Design -Build Package – Refer to Structural sheets and specifications for performance
criteria.”

SECTION 3.04 SHEET A2.2 ROOF PLAN – CLARIFICATION
(c) Roof gutters and downspouts to be supplied by contractor as noted in drawings – Note: it is the
contractor’s responsibility to coordinate gutters with pre-engineered steel building manufacture
if supplied by separate sub-contractor.
SECTION 3.05 SHEET A5.1 BUILDING DETAILS – DETAIL 08 (TYPICAL WALL
SECTION) - CLARIFICATION
(d) Solid grout under all steel frame thickness to vary depending on finished height between frame
base plate and top of concrete foundation, it is architect’s anticipation this thickness to be
between 3/4” to 1” nominal.
SECTION 3.06 SHEET S1.1 STRUCTURAL – GENERAL NOTES – CLARIFICATION
(e) Refer to sheet S1.1 for all structural performance requirements related to pre-engineered steel
building package, this includes snow loads, wind speed and exposure, seismic requirements,
and other design criteria.
SECTION 3.07 SHEET E2.0 SITE PLAN AND ONE-LINE DIAGRAM – CLARIFICATION
(f) Construction to comply with the one-line diagram as shown.
