Davis Community Pool Aquatics Service Provider

The City of Davis operates the Davis Community Pool, located at 201 W. 14 ^th Street, Davis, California. The facility is located in Community Park adjacent to Davis Senior High School. The existing site contains a 2,400 square foot bathhouse, a 1,600 square foot multi‐purpose building, a 6-lane x 25-yard lap pool, a 3,900 square foot instructional pool and a 400 square foot infant pool that is currently out of service. A berm with spectator seating is located on the south side of the site. Site improvements and infrastructure are in fair condition. The Community Pool facility was originally constructed in 1966, with a major upgrade in 1985 and a series of minor, maintenance related renovation projects from 1985 to the present. Other facility features include an admissions/cashier office with storage area, support office with a kitchen/storage area, men’s and women’s dressing areas with showers and bathroom facilities, externally accessible storage room, mechanical room and outdoor mechanical area, concrete pool decks, large viewing area, lawn area and a separate community building with additional storage areas. In 2021, the Davis City Council made the decision to explore finding an operator to program and maintain the pool. The City is seeking proposals from private aquatic program providers to operate the Davis Community Pool and the aquatic programming beginning in March 2023 through March of 2026.

Questions about this RFP are required to be submitted to Deanne Machado by December 16, 2022 at 4:00 pm. Questions submitted after the due date or via phone will not be accepted. All substantive questions and answers will be published via an addendum posted here and distributed to interested parties.

Submittal Information
All proposals must be submitted according to the specifications listed in the RFP. Failure to adhere to these specifications may be cause for rejection of the proposal.

Proposals shall be delivered to: City of Davis, Parks and Community Services Department office, located at 23 Russell Blvd., Davis, CA 95616 Attention to: Deanne Machado on or before 4:00 p.m., January 13, 2023.

NOTE: Proposals must be delivered no later than 4:00 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2023. All proposals received after that time will not be considered. No faxed or emailed proposals will be accepted. The proposer shall submit one original and 10 copies of its proposal.
