The Douglasville – Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority (hereafter referred to as the “Authority”) is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the performance of the Chestnut Place Stormwater Improvement Project (the “Project”), as more fully described in the Invitation for Bids. The scope of work includes the provision by the Contractor of all labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and supplies necessary to complete the work. The Project will be “turn key” and require minimal involvement of Authority personnel.

The work to be performed shall include, but is not limited to, the removal of approximately 91 linear feet (LF) of 48” corrugated metal pipe (CMP), 97 LF of 36” CMP, two catch basins, two headwalls, curb and gutter, pavement, three driveway sections, existing trees, and wood fencing. The Project includes installation of 188 LF of 60” reinforced concrete pipe (RCP), two double wing catch basins (GDOT STD. 1034D), two headwalls (GDOT STD. 1125), concrete driveways, asphalt pavement, wood fencing, temporary gravel parking, concrete trench cap, concrete curb and gutter, and erosion control measures. Coordinating the protection and possible relocation of an existing power pole is also included in the scope of work for the Project. The Project site is located within Douglas County. Plans for Chestnut Place Stormwater Improvement Project have been prepared by Rindt-McDuff Associates, Inc., Jason Cousineau, PE, 2/9/2022.
