Description


Sealed Bids for the construction of the Water System Improvements will be received, by the City of Cuthbert, at the Old City Hall – 24 Court St., Cuthbert, GA 39840, until 2:00 PM local time on March 16, 2023, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. The Project consists of 1 new 200KW/250KVA, 480/277V, 3 phase, 4 wire standby natural gas generator, with generator control panel, generator enclosure, automatic transfer switch, concrete generator pad, complete electrical appurtenances, generator start up services, and all additional appurtenances needed for complete generator installation, along with the replacement of +/- 2,700 LF of water main with new 8” PVC water main and +/- 3,000 LF of water main with new 6” PVC water main, including fittings, valves, fire hydrants, services and all other items indicated in these Contract Documents.
Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with alternate bid items if indicated in the Bid Form.

This project is expected to be funded all or in part by the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority’s (GEFA) Drinking Water State Revolving Fund loan, via the Additional Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Act (ASADRA) for water projects for Georgia cities, counties or water authorities that were impacted by Hurricane Michael. The construction contract will be subject to GEFA’s Supplemental General Conditions for Federally Assisted State Revolving Loan Fund Construction Contracts including Disadvantaged Business Enterprise requirements and Davis Bacon & Related Act requirements. Additionally, the contract will be subject to GEFA’s American Iron and Steel Special Conditions and Information for Federally Assisted State Revolving Loan Fund Construction Contracts.
