NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland will be received at the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Cumberland, Maryland 21502, until but not after 2:00 p.m.., local time, on 12/21/2022. Proposals will be publicly opened and read at 2:30 p.m. on that date in City Hall Council Chambers. All proposals must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside thereof,

FORT HILL RESERVOIR IMPROVEMENTS

2022-34-WTR

This project includes design and installation of a new liner and floating cover for the concrete 3.75-million-gallon Fort Hill Potable Water Reservoir. Design-build contract shall include both the design and construction phases of the proposed improvements.

A “MANDATORY PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on 12/6/2022 via Teleconference (Google Meet). A link will be provided to all interested parties.

A Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the accepted bid will be required of the successful bidder. A Bond or Certified Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid shall be submitted with each bid.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
