NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Sealed proposals addressed to the Mayor and City Council of Cumberland, Maryland will be received at

the Office of the City Clerk, City Hall, until but not after 2:00 p.m., local time, on 2/22/2023. Proposals

will be publicly opened and read at 2:30 p.m. on that date in City Hall Council Chambers. All proposals

must be submitted in duplicate in a sealed envelope, plainly marked on the outside thereof,

AVONDALE AVE. & KENTUCKY AVE. PAVING IMPROVEMENTS

CITY PROJECT NO. 2023-02-PVG

This project includes:

This project includes the milling and paving of Avondale Avenue, Kentucky Avenue, Brentwood Street,

and a portion of Greenway Avenue, along with trench patching in Avondale Avenue and Brentwood

Street. Also included in an alternate bid for the milling and paving of the remainder of Greenway

Avenue.

A "NON-MANDATORY PREBID SESSION” for the purpose of answering or obtaining answers to questions

of parties interested in performing the work, relative to construction details, will be conducted at 9:00

a.m. on 2/08/2023 at the Engineering Dept. Conference Room.

A Proposal Guaranty (Bond or Certified Check) in the amount of at least 5% of the total bid shall be

submitted with each bid.

The successful bidder will be required to submit a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, for all

construction contracts in excess of $100,000, at the time the contract is executed.

The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to waive any technicalities and to reject any or all bids, and

to accept any or all proposals which in their judgment is to the best interest of the City.
