Vacant Unit Repair and Turnaround Work

The Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina Public Housing Department requests bids from qualified Contractors for Vacant Unit Repair and Unit Turnaround work for its 296 Public Housing.

Please note that there will be a Mandatory Pre-bid Meeting held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at 10:00 AM at the Administrative Offices of Public Housing, 317 Caldwell Street, Chapel Hill, NC 27516. A tour of one of the neighborhoods close to the office will take place. All potential bidders are hereby notified that attendance at the Pre-bid Meeting is required for bids to be considered by the Town of Chapel Hill; failure to attend will disqualify submissions.

All questions must be received in writing by Julian Gerner, Public Housing Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor @ Jgerner@townofchapelhill.org , no later than 3:00 pm on Friday, February 3, 2023. Responses to questions received will be emailed to the pre-bid meeting attendees in the form of an addendum by Wednesday, February 8, 2023.

Bids are due by 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 14, 2023. Please email the bids as a pdf to Zakia Alam, Purchasing and Contracts Manager, at zalam@townofchapelhill.org with “Unit Repair and Turnaround Work” in the subject line.

The Town of Chapel Hill reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any reason or no reason and to accept the bid most favorable to the Town of Chapel Hill.
