Description: The City of San Antonio’s Public Works Department is seeking Request for Competitive Sealed Proposals for the District 9
Senior Center, a 2017 Bond Project approved by the voters on May 6, 2017. The project is located at 840 W. Rhapsody Dr., adjacent to
Walker Ranch Park. The new 26,300 square foot facility will consist of a satellite Council Office, multi-purpose rooms, classrooms for arts,
crafts and computers, dining room, warming kitchen, exercise and dance facilities, meeting rooms, staff offices and a health screening and
lounge areas. The site improvements outside this facility will include parking for approximately 200 vehicles of which 38 will be ADA
accessible and up to 10 electric vehicle charging spaces, sidewalks, access drives, turning lanes and vehicular drop off areas, landscaping,
and outdoor activity spaces.

Pursuant to Section 003 – In accordance with §2-61 of the City Code, Respondents are prohibited from communicating with 1) City
officials, as defined by §2-62 of the City Code of the City of San Antonio, regarding the RFCSP or proposal from the time the
RFCSP has been released until the contract is posted for consideration as an agenda item during a meeting designated as an A
session; and 2) City employees from the time the RFCSP has been released until the contract is awarded. Restrictions extend to
“thank you” letters, phone calls, emails and any contact that results in the direct or indirect discussion of the RFCSP and/or
proposal submitted by Respondent. Violation of this provision by Respondent and/or its agent may lead to disqualification of
Respondent’s proposal from consideration.
Exceptions to the Restrictions on Communications:
Respondent is highly encouraged to submit written questions concerning this RFCSP through the CivCast website at
https://www.civcastusa.com/bids until 4:00P.M. (CST), June 1, 2020. Questions received after the stated deadline shall not be answered.
