Bid Synopsis:

The Department of Corrections ( WI DOC ) recognizes the need for its existing contractors and potential future contractors to have opportunities to be trained in service areas that WI DOC seeks to contract.

The CBI-IPV training listed below is available at no cost (free) to both current and potential contracted providers of WI DOC. Interested individuals should e-mail Erin Thorvaldson, Evidence-Based Program Manager, at Erin.Thorvaldson@Wisconsin.gov with the CBI-IPV training session identified in the subject line. In your registration email, please include participant’s name, agency,  job title, e-mail, and mailing address for materials.

Curriculum End User Trainings

End User trainings allow the opportunity for participants to achieve certification in the curriculum to deliver in a provider setting. Participants must attend all parts of the training.

Session 1: CBI-IPV (Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions for Interpersonal Violence)

VIRTUAL - Participants must attend all parts of the training and have access to both a microphone and video to actively participate.

Dates/Time : January 31 - February 3, 2023 and February 7 - 10, 2023   8:30am – 1pm

Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions for Interpersonal Violence (CBI-IPV) is designed for people involved with the criminal justice system who have a recent pattern of intimate partner violence and are moderate to high risk for recidivism.  The curriculum targets criminogenic need areas for intimate partner abuse and includes activities for cognitive, social, and emotional skills development.

Participants must attend all days of training in order to be certified to deliver the curriculum.

Targeted Staff: Current or future group facilitators in a correctional setting who serve individuals with a domestic violence need/history.

Pre-Requisites: Basic understanding of cognitive-behavioral concepts/interventions and group facilitation.

Cost: NONE (Free)
