Contractor must notify the ordering agency on the same day that the product ships/delivers via e-mail sent
to lperraul@bechtel.com, tmwillar@bechtel.com, and cc infoseattle@gpo.gov. The subject line of this
message shall be "Distribution Notice for Jacket 677-732. The notice must provide all applicable tracking
numbers, shipping method, and Title. Contractor must be able to provide copies of all delivery, mailing, and
shipping receipts upon agency request.

QUALITY LEVEL: 3 Quality Assurance Through Attributes (GPO PUB 310.1, effective May 1979 (Rev.
8-02)) applies.
DESCRIPTION:
---Traditional screen process printing is required.
Contractor to produce five (5) Copies each of two (2) different signs.
1. "CAUTION NOISE": 10" x 7". Sign prints type, rules, and line art face only in Black, and Yellow inks.
Close registration. Laminate the entire printed surface with a clear, non-yellowing, UV resistant laminate.
2. "BUILDING 54S": 14" x 10". Sign prints solid Blue Background with reverse type face only. Laminate
the entire printed surface with a clear, non-yellowing, UV resistant laminate.
---Contractor is to furnish .063" outdoor grade aluminum with white baked enamel on both sides. All
corners are to be rounded. Contractor must guarantee the printed image will withstand harsh outdoor
conditions for a minimum of two (2) years. Signs will be displayed in open, unprotected areas with high

Contractor to make all required color breaks. Contact the Seattle GPO for the file.
ELECTRONIC PREPRESS -- Prior to image processing, the contractor shall perform a basic preflight
check of the furnished media and publishing files to assure correct output of the required reproduction
image. If any errors, media damage, or data corruption that might interfere with proper file image
processing are discovered during inspection by the contractor, work must be discontinued and further
instructions should immediately be requested from the contract administrator, see below.
This preflight must identify any problem areas with digital file submission and must include but not be
limited to missing or damaged fonts, damaged disks, missing bleeds, improper trim size, and improper
color definition. The Contractor is also responsible for creating or altering any necessary trapping, setting
proper screen angles and frequency (unless indicated otherwise by the Government), and defining proper
file output selection for the imaging device being used. All furnished files must be imaged as necessary to
meet the assigned Quality Assurance Through Attributes Program (QATAP) level.
PAPER: * Must be in accordance with JCP Paper Specification Standards in effect on date of this order

COLOR OF INK:
"CAUTION": Pantone 012C (Yellow) and Black. "BUILDING 54S": Pantone 300C (Blue).
Waterproof Inks, UV Resistant Inks.
Ink must withstand at least 170 hours in an Atlas Fadeometer or equal.
PRINT PAGE: One Side Only
MARGINS:
Follow Files for Margins. Adequate Gripper.
PROOFS:
Email a press quality .pdf proof to LeAnn at: LPerraul@Bechtel.com, and tmwillar@bechtel.com.
Proof must have the same Raster Image Processor (RIP) that will be used to produce the final product. The
proof will be used to evaluate text flow, image position, and color break; show trim lines and holes. Proof
will not be used for a color match.
The email Subject line must include the word PROOF, the GPO Jacket number and the job title.

Proofs will be held not more than ONE workday. Do not print prior to receipt of an 'OK to print'.
PACKING:
Pack separately, and suitably to protect against shipping damage. Packed shipping containers are not to
exceed 45 pounds. Use GPO Form 905 to mark the shipping container.
