Over view: This project will consist of Statewide Rest Area Changing Station Retrofit for the following 5 locations Tiffin County East bound, Mitchellville West Bound, Lamoni North Bound, Elkhart South Bound, Davenport West Bound
These locations are not tied, vendors are able to bid certain lines or all lines if they choose to do so.
The estimated project period to begin June 15, 2023
DOT Final completion February 15, 2024
Licensed , bonded and Insured General Contractor. Inspection done by Schneider and DNR
Davis Bacon Wages do not apply to this project.
It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible bidder whose submitted quotation is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule.
Until the contract is awarded the sole point of contact for this project is through Jody McNaughton (see bid contract information) any and all questions related to this project are to be submitted through the ION wave Bid system.
Note: Only the awarded contractor will be required to have a Performance Bond & Power of Attorney
Site visits will be scheduled upon request please contact Jody McNaughton at jody.mcnaughton@iowadot.us to schedule a date and time that we can coordinate with site staff.
