|
The Suwannee River Water Management District (District) is requesting proposals for River
Access Improvement Projects. There are two project areas included in this proposal. Each
project area has a separate scope of work specific to its location and terrain. In conjunction with
the scopes of work, each project area has been permitted separately through The Florida
Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and The United States Army Corps of Engineers
(USACE). Each projects scopes of work must be completed within the requirements of the
issued permits. The contractor will be responsible for providing all materials associated with
construction including erosion control and water quality measures such as silt fence, turbidity
curtain, rip-rap rock, and native plantings. Both project locations are in remote areas. It will be
the contractor’s responsibility to plan accordantly. All permits, maps, and associated materials
can be found as attachments to this RFP.

Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting: A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held on January
04, 2023, at 10:00 am. Individuals, firms or representatives are invited to meeting District staff
at Rocky’s Convenience Store and Campground (5175 US-98, Perry, FL 32347) for
introductions and information. Firms and District staff will meet in the parking lot of the
Convenience Store. From there District staff will lead potential bidders to each river access
location so that they may review each site. The meeting is expected to last for approximately 4
hours. IN ORDER TO CONFIRM ATTENDANCE PLEASE BE SURE AND SIGN IN WITH
DISTRICT STAFF.
