VENDORS THAT WERE AWARDED ON THE PREVIOUS PROPOSAL FOR RFP 2021-034 ARE NOT REQUIRED TO RESPOND TO THIS SUPPLEMENTAL PROPOSAL. This supplemental RFP is to add additional vendors to the already awarded list.
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to establish a competitive "as needed" discount purchases of Transportation Shop Facilities, Services, Parts and Supplies for Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD). This RFP is for all commodities related to all aspect of Transportation.

This request for proposal is not a contract. Purchases will be made by approved purchase order and only the purchase order will serve as a contract. NO SERVICES SHOULD BE PROVIDED BEFORE THE VENDOR RECEIVES A PURCHASE ORDER . Any purchases made through this qualification is on as needed basis only. By submitting a response to this bid, you agree to provide services on an "as needed" basis to Plano ISD. Plano ISD does not guarantee the volume (quantity or dollar value) to be purchased annually. The actual dollar amount to be purchased from this RFP depends on the actual needs of the District. (TAC 109.41)
The District may elect to issue supplemental bids and approve additional vendors for the same or similar items/services during the agreement period, if it is determined to be in the best interest of the District. Supplemental bids will have the same RFP number followed by an alpha character and a number i.e. (RFP 2020-034-S1).
Awarded vendors from other contracts should still bid.
Vendors that respond successfully to this original or this supplemental bid will not have to respond to following supplemental bids for 2021-034 Transportation Shop Facility/Vehicle/Bus Service and Supplies.
SCOPE & SPECIFICATIONS:
The transportation departments encompass a broad spectrum of services, competencies, processes, repairs, and tools required to assure the transportation facility or vehicle are being used as they were designed and constructed. For the purposes of this solicitation, Plano ISD is soliciting vendors whose primary commodity would lie in the following categories or others listed on the vendor attachment:

1.
Transportation & Fleet Services/Vehicle Maintenance/Vehicle and Bus Supplies & Parts (such as car dealerships, towing services, vehicle salvage yards or stores)
2. Waste Disposal, Reduction and Recycling
3. Custodial Supplies
4. Radio Equipment
5. Signs and Decals
6. Vehicle Purchases

Each responding vendor should be qualified in their field of business and hold all required certifications or licenses required by the State of Texas to perform their specific job duties.
Multiple vendors will be qualified to this solicitation, so please bid accordingly. For evaluation purposes, bidders are requested to provide a discount price schedule for goods and/or services their company can offer and appropriate literature describing the product or service represented. Price schedule must be attached to your company response.
The District reserves the right to have a designated employee or supervisor present to oversee any and all services performed.
EXPENDITURE:
PISD does not guarantee the volume (quantity or dollar value) to be purchased annually. The actual dollar amount to be purchased from this Request for Proposal depends on the actual needs of the campuses, departments and budgetary constraints. (TAC 109.41)
Any qualification from this solicitation will automatically renew annually until 2026, providing the vendor remains in good standing and mutual consent of both parties is present.
TERM:
The term of this proposal shall be for one (1) year with five (5) successive one (1) year auto-renewals, based on the long-range needs of the District and not to exceed six (6) years total. Plano ISD has the option to extend this RFP at the end of the performance period for up to 120 days if determined to be in the best interest of the district to ensure availability of products and/or services. Plano ISD will issue subsequent RFPs as needed.

Contract YR2 (Option): November 3rd, 2022 - November 3rd, 2023 ;
Contract YR3 (Option): November 3rd, 2023 - November 3rd, 2024 ;
Contract YR4 (Option): November 3rd, 2024 - November 3rd, 2025 ;
Contract YR5 (Option): November 3rd, 2025 - November 3rd, 2026 ;
Contract YR6 (Option): November 3rd, 2026 - November 3rd, 2027
