PURPOSE: The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to establish a competitive contract for servicing and inspecting the fire sprinkler systems at various locations of Plano Independent School District (the District) on an “as needed” basis for servicing and annual basis for inspections. The District's fire sprinklers are primarily wet-pipe, however some locations also have dry, nitrogen or glycol systems. All vendors supplying prices shall be established vendors whose primary business is fire equipment sales and is licensed by the State of Texas as a Fire Protection Sprinkler System Contractor and is bonded for at least $300,000. This contract will be a two-part contract. Part I of this proposal is for construction work, including parts and labor. Part II of this proposal is for annual inspection.

ANNUAL EXPENDITURE: The estimated expenditure for this contract is approximately $300,000 per year. However, this estimate should not be construed to be a guarantee of either minimum or maximum since usage is dependent upon actual needs and available funding. This estimate may be exceeded by 25% annually.

TERM: This proposal will be firm for one (1) year from date of award, with the option to be renewed for four (4) additional years, in one (1) year increments, provided all prices remain firm and both parties agree.

The words “bids, proposals, competitive sealed proposal, quotes” and their derivatives may be used interchangeably in these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions are applicable on all bids, requests for proposals, quotes, competitive sealed proposals, etc. to which they are attached.
