Scope
|
The County intends to enter into a Contract with a qualified Contractor to plant shade trees at a variety of locations throughout the County using fees paid into the dedicated account as required by the Tree Canopy Law and grant awards. New shade trees will be installed and cared for in locations including, but not limited to, yards of private residences; open areas owned by homeowner associations; private businesses, including in parking lots; private and public schools; local parks; County-maintained facilities; and County-maintained rights-of-way. Additionally, per the discretion of the Contract Administrator, certain newly planted shade trees may receive watering and aftercare for several years following installation. The Contractor must demonstrate consideration of residents and property in a highly professional manner when interacting with property owners, business owners and patrons, school children, park visitors, and other residents encountered during performance of the work. The Contractor must convey accurate information about the newly planted shade trees, planting, aftercare techniques, and the Tree Canopy program, in conjunction with written material provided by the County, in a polite and respectful manner. Additionally, the Contractor must refer to the County all questions and comments beyond the scope of this Contract. Please see the solicitation for additional information.
