Scope
|
Intent: Montgomery County intends to enter a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-quantity Contract with the Contractor to provide the routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repair of existing underground stormwater management facilities in Montgomery County in accordance with the provided specifications. The general routine maintenance and cleaning of underground facilities will be performed as ordered by the County, generally triennially, but in some instances more frequently (e.g., complaints, 3 BaySavers at Nicholson Court (bimonthly), 3 Stormceptors at Transfer Station (6-month cycle), and some Depots as needed ). The routine repair of facilities will be accomplished based on triennial inspection of same. 1.The main objective of the work is to assure that each facility performs as designed to maximizeits efficiency and to initiate repairs in a timely manner. The Contractor will ensure the highestquality work by employing qualified, experienced personnel trained in underground stormwaterfacility maintenance cleaning and repair, sediment and erosion control practices, and familiarwith the County's disposal requirements as specified in by Code of Montgomery CountyRegulations 19.00.01.07. As required by Code of Montgomery County Regulations19.00.01.06.B, Qualifications of Maintenance Personnel, the Contractor must havedemonstrated experience in stormwater management facility construction and inspection andhold a certificate of attendance awarded through a training program approved by theDepartment of Environmental Protection. The Bidder must attest and certify to this training andexperience in the Statement of Assurances and proof of this attendance must be submitted ifrequested by the County.
