MFT Section 23-00000-00-GM

2023 MFT Street Resurfacing

General Project Description: This project consists of furnishing all work necessary for the completion of milling and hot mix asphalt overlay, along with necessary incidentals, on various streets in the Town of Normal, Illinois. The proposed improvement consists of the following approximate quantities: 27,989 SY Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Removal; 19,000 pounds Bituminous Materials (Tack Coat); 8,700 feet Longitudinal Joint Sealant; 1,176 tons Polymerized HMA Binder Course, IL-4.75, N50; 2,350 tons HMA Surface Course, Mix C, N50; 1,100 feet Combination Concrete Curb and Gutter, Removal and Replacement, Special; adjustment or replacement of 74 water and sewer structures; 5,500 feet Short-term Pavement Markings – Paint; 1,400 feet Short-term Pavement Markings – Tape; 450 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 6”; 150 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 12”; 175 feet Paint Pavement Marking – Line 24”; 150 feet Detector Loop; and all other necessary items and incidentals required to complete this project according to the plans and specifications.

Bids must be submitted to the Town Clerk in a sealed envelope clearly marked “MFT Section 23-00000-00-GM – 2023 MFT Street Resurfacing” at the following location before the following date and time:

BID DUE TIME: 10:30 AM

Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Bid Due Time in Office of the Town Clerk, 11 Uptown Circle, Normal, IL 61761

This is a prevailing-wage project.

Bid documents are available electronically from the Town of Normal website at http://www.normalil.gov/bids.aspx .

A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at 2:00 PM at the One Uptown Conference Room, One Uptown Circle, 2 nd floor.
