REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP)
DESIGN & INSTALLATION FOR EXHAUST CONTROL SYSTEM
1. REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. The City of Garden City, Kansas (“City”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms or individuals to provide design and installation of exhaust emission control systems for Allen Shelton Central Fire Station located at 302 North 9th Street, Garden City Kansas and Labrador Fire Station located at 1605 East Mary, Garden City Kansas.
2. BUILDING VISION. The city plans to install exhaust source capture units in its two existing fire stations. This will include the installation of five exhaust emission control units at Allen Shelton Central Fire Station along with four exhaust emission control units at Labrador Fire Station.
3. ESTIMATED SCHEDULE.

4. SCOPE OF WORK. The city requires services for pre-installation phase and the installation phase.
a. Pre-Construction Phase. The professional services during this phase shall include, but not be limited to, initial pre-planning, front-end schematic design for the purposes of notifying elected officials, completing site plan inspections,
producing necessary pre-determined schematic drawings and other displays of the floor plan, estimating itemized installation budget, and itemized operational budget, and working with City to solicit bids for installation.
b. Construction Services Phase. The professional services during this phase shall include, but not be limited to, installation management, design construction administration, field supervision, coordinating subcontractors, maintain quality, meeting schedules, providing the general conditions work for the project and electrical engineering services.
5. REQUIREMENTS FOR SUBMISSION OF PROPOSAL. Vendors must submit their proposal by sealed envelope or email to be received by City. Proposals should be sent to:
