This project includes, but is not necessarily limited to:

The City of Valdez ("City") is requesting proposals for the purpose of providing a community fireworks display on December 31, 2022 at the site locally known as "Sea Otter" at the west end of South Harbor Drive in Valdez. The City's needs are outlined in the following Request for Proposals ("RFP").

Proposals will be accepted until 5:00 PM local time on October 28, 2022, via email only to Martha Barberio , Economic Development Director. The subject line of the email should read Proposal: 2022 December 31st Fireworks Display. Proposals shall not exceed 10 pages in length. Proposals submitted after the deadline date and time may not be accepted.

Any questions regarding the submittal process and/or the technical aspects of the project may be made via email to Martha Barberio . Only email communications will be accepted. Questions and responses will be shared with all firms that provide an email address to the City's Project Manager.

The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes.

Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law.

Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met.

The City of Valdez encourages disadvantaged, minority and women-owned firms to respond and is available to assist said firms in learning how to do business with the City.

The City of Valdez “ Standard Specifications and Standard Details ” shall be used.
