Description

McGill University’s Campus Public Safety Department works with the community to promote a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors through education, prevention and response. The members of the Campus Public Safety Department: Security Services, Fire Prevention, Environmental Health and Safety, and Emergency Management and Preparedness seek to consolidate numerous operational processes and databases into one comprehensive Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and Records Management System (RMS) that would take an incident from the initial alert to the final distribution of the reports. This in order to reduce processing time and effort and improve the manner in which incidents are managed and information is stored.

McGill University is looking for a supplier to provide all the following for a Computer Aided Dispatch and Records Management Solution:

  • The software solution shall be delivered via an Application Service Provider (ASP), defined by Wikipedia as “A business providing computer-based services to customers over a network”. Or alternatively, shall be delivered via Software as a Service (SaaS) offering, defined by Wikipedia as “A software licensing and delivery model in which software is licensed on a subscription basis and is centrally hosted”. McGill University does not wish to increase its footprint of on-premise systems.
  • Implementation services including requirements gathering & process review, design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment based on industry best practices
  • Training services
  • Support services
