Description: The NYS Department of Public Service’s Office of Investigation and Enforcement (OIE) is seeking to hire a subject matter expert to assist with an ongoing investigation into a utility’s pipeline system welds. The multi-year ongoing investigation has reached a point where technical expertise is required. OIE has identified a high likelihood of litigation, which will require independent technical expertise and knowledge of similar regulatory matters beyond that of current DPS Staff. OIE seeks to enter a contract with an expert consultant and witness to assist OIE efforts and serve as a consultant, advisor, and (potential) witness for OIE.
